NDCP Driver Honored as One of the Safest Truck Drivers in the U.S.

Truck drivers are the backbone of the American economy. When everything closed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, people like National DCP truck driver Paul Piper kept our nation’s critical food supply going. In his case, Paul worked day-in and day-out to ensure that Dunkin’ restaurants received the supplies they needed for first-responders, hospital workers and consumers to get their much-needed coffee and donut fixes.

Now the Leominster, Massachusetts resident has achieved a remarkable honor in his 36-year career, driving a total of 1,137,835 safe miles without a preventable accident, recently winning the National Safety Council’s Safe Driver of the Year award for New England. He spent several years driving the overnight route from Bellingham, MA to Caribou, ME, just a few miles from the Canadian border, during short summers and long and snowy winters – so doing so accident-free is an amazing accomplishment.

In honor of this award, the Worcester, Massachusetts newspaper, Telegram & Gazette, featured Paul as one of the safest truck drivers in the US. Click here to read more.
