FAQs
Thanks for your interest in National DCP! Here are some of the most frequently asked questions and answers about our organization:
National DCP, LLC (NDCP) is a global provider of innovative supply chain solutions for the foodservice industry. Focused on serving quick service restaurants, casual dining restaurant brands, and foodservice operators, our expertise includes strategic sourcing of food and non-food items, distribution, manufacturing, business services, supply chain and full visibility, traceability, continuity, and sustainability of supply. Customers turn to our award-winning organization for extraordinary value, cost-savings, quality products and reliable service, which enables their restaurants to maximize profitability. We currently serve over 10,000 quick service restaurants in the U.S. and distribute products to more than 40 countries.
A number of brands, like IBM or KFC, used to have longer names that became shortened to an acronym as they grew their offerings over the years. When National DCP was first formed, the DCP stood for Distributor Commitment Program. As we grew into a full-service supply chain management company that spanned strategic sourcing, business services and more beyond distribution, our company expanded beyond that initial descriptor but kept the DCP initials for historical purposes. Today, the letters DCP internally refer to our core values:
• Dedicated: Work smart, not just hard, be determined, committed and loyal to yourself and the company.
• Collaborative: Support one another, share ideas and best practices and work together to achieve overall strategic objectives.
• Proactive: Demonstrate initiative by taking action, capitalizing on opportunities and solving challenges without waiting to be asked or told to take action.
Our compelling business model stands apart in the foodservice industry. While others offer a partial solution or bring multiple “middlemen” into the equation, our full-service supply chain management approach ensures supply by creating strong alignment from suppliers through distribution. We start at the source, helping customers find the lowest possible costs on high quality ingredients and manufactured products before distributing orders on-time and in-full to their restaurants. This approach works. NDCP has been recognized with numerous industry awards and honors.
NDCP’s corporate headquarters is located within metro Atlanta in Duluth, Georgia. We currently have nine distribution centers (DCs) nationwide, along with 30+ transportation domicile locations.
NDCP was officially formed in 2012 as a membership cooperative following the successful merger of five different operating companies. However, some of our facilities have been providing procurement and distribution support to restaurants since the 1980’s. We have a tremendous depth of expertise and bench strength.
NDCP has a strong heritage of community outreach. Through NDCP Community Connexions, our Corporate Social Responsibility Program, we have focused on making a difference by building partnerships with charitable organizations related to hunger relief and sustainability. Concentrating on areas that are strongly aligned with our brand, mission, and vision allows us to maximize NDCP’s impact in the world.

If you are interested in working with NDCP, please email suppliers@natdcp.com and we will be in touch with you shortly. After our initial discussion, if we both feel like there is a potential opportunity to partner, we will ask that you complete an NDCP Supplier Participation Agreement (our general terms and conditions) and our Strategic Sourcing team will work with you to review capabilities and identify opportunities to participate in sourcing events.
Our Strategic Sourcing team is organized by key categories, so when working with NDCP, you will be aligned with one of our category experts who will be your primary point of contact. Our category expert will work with you on contracts supporting existing products, pricing of those products, identification of new opportunities, and collaboration on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) projects to optimization specifications and costs on existing products. Many of our suppliers also have close working relationships with the brand teams that NDCP supports, providing innovation, research, development, and commercialization assistance to those brand team members as the brand sees fit.
NDCP is a purchasing co-operative with committed members and volumes. When working with NDCP, suppliers have the benefit of knowing that we have committed customers, which often translates into consistent or growing volumes. If you seek to partner with innovative organizations, you will have that with NDCP, and we value our partnerships greatly as we know they make both of our organizations better and more innovative. If our values of being Dedicated, Collaborative and Proactive resonate with you, or if you recognize our key behaviors of Respect, Integrity and Ownership in your own organization, we think you will find NDCP a good partner in mutually supporting our end-customers.
NDCP represents the restaurant systems that we support, and we are oftentimes in regular communication with the franchisees and/or brand teams. While much of our supplier communications typically go through our NDCP team members, our suppliers may have other opportunities to communicate directly with franchisees at events such as franchise conferences.
