Corporate Social Responsibility
Giving back to the community by supporting causes important to our members is an important priority for National DCP. We focus on promoting good will and fostering relationships with franchisees, suppliers and the Joy in Childhood Foundation through community outreach. Our philanthropy is focused on several key events nationwide:
Dunkin’ Donuts Jimmy Fund Golf Tournament hosted by NDCP
NDCP hosts the annual Dunkin’ Donuts Jimmy Fund Golf Tournament, which raises money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). Bringing Dunkin’ Donuts Franchisees together with NDCP Suppliers, the event has generated cumulative donations that surpass $13 million over 20 years to support the Dunkin’ Donuts “Right Treatments Rid Cancer” Research Fund. Under the direction of Dr. Lee M. Nadler, the Center for Clinical and Translational Research aims to find, develop, validate and implement medical tests necessary for understanding and treating disease based on each individual’s cancer. These doctors will take the lead in developing promising technologies to implement clinical tests and research tools for cancer patients. The program emphasizes academic and industry collaboration to ensure the most promising and innovative technologies have the greatest impact and move rapidly to the medical marketplace and patient care.
The Joy in Childhood Foundation
The Joy in Childhood Foundation, supported by Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins is directly committed to serving sick and hungry kids through partnerships with children’s hospitals, food banks, and nonprofit organizations. JiCF funds joyful environments, joyful experiences and joyful expression to ensure that children whose lives are compromised by hunger or sickness have the support and essential services to find joy in their daily. NDCP is proud to support this cause with annual event participation alongside Dunkin' Brands.
Carlos Placido - Dunkin' Donuts Golf Classic
Named in honor of Dunkin’ franchisee Carlos Placido, the annual Dunkin’ Donuts Golf Classic to benefit the New England Center for Children (NECC) has raised funds that help transform the lives of children with autism worldwide through education, research, and technology. NDCP is a proud supporter of NECC’s mission.
Aga-Kahn Foundation/Partnerships in Action
For the past several years, NDCP has provided continuous support to the Aga-Kahn Foundation (AKF) and AKF Partnership in Action Golf and Walk. With NDCP funding, AKF has been able to raise awareness about development issues abroad while contributing to improve a better quality of life for all.
